Terms & Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions, our privacy policy and any other written information are brought to your attention before we confirm your seat in our courses / lessons and form the basis of your contract with GoAcademy (Mauritius) Ltd.

Please read them carefully as they set out your respective rights and obligations. In these booking conditions references to "you" and "your" include the first named person on the application form and all persons on whose behalf a booking is made.


Booking

A booking is made with us when the required registration and administration fees or the down payment mentioned on the invoice is made in cash against an official receipt, via bank transfer or by office cheque addressed to GoAcademy (Mauritius) Ltd.

With your application, you commit yourself to the services requested and course lesson conditions mentioned on your estimate / invoice.

The down payment (first payment) must be made at latest 7 days prior course / lesson starting.

After that the convened down payment is made we will send you the confirmation of enrolment.

We offer on special cases payment facilities in monthly instalments after the registration fees and down payment have been made.

A contract will come into existence between you and GoAcademy (Mauritius) Ltd as soon as a booking confirmation has been issued and sent to you.

If a document provided to you is wrong, you must so advise us immediately as changes cannot be made at a later date and it may harm your rights if we are not notified of any inaccuracies in any document within 5 (five) working days of our sending it to you.

All due invoices must be covered at least 14 days before the end of the course.

Non awarded Certificates will be issued only when all payments have been made.


Accuracy

Our prices are registered with the Mauritius Qualifications Authority and can be checked if ever you wish to.

If you are not sure, please always check the current price of the course / lessons with the staff and all other details pertaining to the arrangements that you wish to book before your booking is confirmed.

If ever any person or external person is requesting different prices than published on our website or brochures on behalf of GoAcademy Mauritius, you should inform us as soon as possible as transparency and fairness are part of our quality and policy.


Liability

Parents of minors/adult clients agree that neither GoAcademy (Mauritius) Ltd nor our partners shall be liable for accidents /damage nor problems caused either negligently or intentionally by their wards/the adults while being in the school premises, in class or/and participating in trips or any other activity organized by us.


Changes by you

If you wish to change any part of your booking arrangements after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you must inform us in written as soon as possible.

Whilst we will do our utmost to assist you, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet your requested change.

Where we are unable to assist you and you do not wish to proceed with the original booking we will treat this as a cancellation by you. A cancellation fee will be payable, refer to “Cancellation Policy”.


Cancellation Policy

You, for minors or any member of your party may cancel your

booking arrangements at any time.

If you or any other member of your party decides to cancel before commencement of your confirmed booking, the first named person on the booking or responsible parties for minors must notify us in writing only.

Your notice of cancellation will only take effect when it is received by us.

Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements. Cancellation charges shall be applicable up to the maximum shown in the table that follows:

Note:

An administrative charge of MUR 10,000 will be charged for refund of tuition fees.

The registration, any administrative fee, German for teens fees and any course/lessons fees where expressly stated,  or any invoice where a discount is applied; are non refundable.

GoAcademy Mauritius reserves the right to make a refund within, but not limited to 90 working days.


Rights to image and film materials

By agreeing to our general terms and conditions, you are accepting that GoAcademy Mauritius Ltd has the right to use any photos, video and sound recordings, which may be produced in the course of a language program. These materials may be used by us for any lawful promotional purposes without cost implication or the need for a separate authorization from you.


Liability

Online /Blended Class

By agreeing to our general terms and conditions, you are accepting that GoAcademy Mauritius Ltd has the right to swap the classes from face to face to online and / or blended online, ensuring that the course contents are respected, same change might slow down the course duration but shall not reduce the number of hours you booked for, same change shall be effected without any cost implication, neither a refund on the amount paid and nor the need for a separate authorization from you.


Force Majeure:

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions we will not be liable nor pay you compensation if our contractual obligations to you are affected by any event which we or the supplier(s) of the service (s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid.

These events can include, but are not limited to war, threat of war, civil strife terrorist activity and its consequences or the threat of such activity, riot, the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, chemical or biological disaster and acts of God and all similar events outside our or the supplier (s) concerned control.

For non-Mauritian residents on holidays wishing to take part in our courses / lessons, an advice from the Mauritius Passport and Immigration Office and / or any Foreign Office to avoid or leave a particular country may constitute Force Majeure.


Special requests:

Any special requests must be advised to us upon acceptance of your estimate.

You should then confirm your requests in writing.

Whilst every effort will be made by us to try and arrange your reasonable special requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled.

Failure to meet any special request shall not be deemed to be a breach of contract on our part.

We do not accept bookings that are conditional upon any special request being met.


Behavior:

If in our opinion or in the opinion of any other person in authority, your behaviour or that of any member of your party is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any of our other students / pupils or any third party or damage to property, or to cause a delay or diversion in our programs, we reserve the right to terminate your booking arrangements with us immediately.

In the event of such termination our liability to you and/or your party will cease and you and/or your party will be required to leave our premises or other service immediately.

We will have no further obligations to you and/or your party.

No refunds for lost services will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of termination.

You and/or your party may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party.

 If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you.

We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behavior of other students or individuals who have no connection with your booking arrangements or with us.


Disclaimer

While all information in this is accurate at the time of publication, the content may be subject to updates. We reserve the right to refuse admission or to dismiss any student from our training institution, which in our opinion or in the opinion of any other person in authority, your behavior or that of any member of your party is causing or is likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any of our other students or any third party or damage to property, or to cause a delay or diversion in our programs, we reserve the right to terminate your booking arrangements with us immediately.

In the event of such termination our liability to you and/or your party will cease and you and/or your party will be required to leave our premises or other service immediately. We will have no further obligations to you and/or your party. No refunds for lost services will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of Termination.

You and/or your party may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions, and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party.

If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you. We cannot be held responsible for the actions or behavior of other students or individuals who have no connection with your booking arrangements or with us. The school expects students to adhere to the rules set.


General Disciplinary Guidelines

Students are expected to:

>Attend school regularly, to attend all classes and to be on time, to sign the daily attendance book found at the reception.

> Be honest, behave with dignity and treat others with respect and courtesy. Behavior of the individual should not interfere with the rights of others. This includes the use of appropriate language, actions and attire.

>Always be calm and quiet and respect all other ongoing classes. Students are expected not to harass others verbally and physically.

>Respond in a polite and respectful manner to all persons while being at school.

>Understand that it is always STRICTLY prohibited to smoke in public areas thus in the training institution premises, all students are expected in class and /or at school free from the influence of alcohol and / or any drug or any forms of drugs.

Any student caught with any drug and or any forms of drugs shall be referred immediately to the relevant authorities and shall be expulsed immediately from the class and / or school with no refund of any fees paid.

>Treat the school and / or other properties with care. Students who vandalize the school properties will have to make good for same at the rate quoted by us.

>Understand that any robbery shall be referred immediately to the relevant authorities and student shall be expulsed from the class and / or school with no refund of any fees paid.

>Contribute to a safe school environment free from fear. Acts of violence caught with weapons and / or any contraband shall be referred immediately to the relevant authorities and student shall be expulsed from the class and / or school with no refund of any fees paid.

>Comply with all rules set forth. Read & understood the terms and conditions of GoAcademy Mauritius and have no objection whatsoever and understood that when effecting any payment of any GoAcademy Mauritius’ invoice constitute an agreement to these above mentioned terms and conditions.
